A decade ago, U.Va.’s baseball team didn’t draw much more than friends and family for even their biggest games. Tomorrow at 5:30 p.m., a big crowd is expected for an open practice at Davenport Field as the Cavaliers prepare to head to Omaha, Neb. for their first-ever appearance in the NCAA College World Series.
Concessions will be open, so grab some dinner while you’re there, and show the ‘Hoos that the community is behind them all the way.
This will be the only public event before the team heads off to Nebraska on Wednesday.
