Search for Morgan Will be Based at Forestry Building
The community-based volunteer search for missing Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington starts at 9 a.m. Friday and will continue Saturday and Sunday.
This weekend’s search will be based at the Virginia Department of Forestry Building, 900 Natural Resources Drive, in the Fontaine Research Park. Directions and details are here.
Some things to remember: Bring a photo ID. You’ve got to be at least 18 years of age. Wear sturdy walking shoes and appropriate clothing, sunscreen and a hat.
We are told that volunteer registration will be continuous, so if you can donate some time at any point during the weekend, come on down.
The reward for Morgan’s return is up to $150,041. Metallica came through with 50k, and the $41 comes from the Roanoke area United Way. Its employees took up a collection in the office.
The hopes and prayers of the U.Va. community remain with Morgan’s parents.

Just a few questions ro help understand a little about Morgan.
1. When Morgan was last seen on the Ivy Bridge, was she with a friend?
2. If coming to the concert with friends, why did she leave before is even started.
3. Why didn’t her friends question where she was going to get a ride?
4. Did Morgan have friends in Charlottesville?
5. Did Morgan know her way around the Charlottesville area to begin with? It seems that she might have been going to meet someone she knew.
6. Is this search for her going to be ongoing or just for the weekend.
I hope to God they find her. I know it must be awful for her parents to go through this horrible thing. My prayers are with her and her family. I would love to help in the search as long as it takes. I am 65 y/o but I would really like to help where needed.
