Christmas Computer Shopping, Simplified
Times are certainly tight for U.Va. employees, who haven’t received a raise since November 2007. But the world marches on, and most people feel like they need a computer to remain engaged with that world.
Enter Cavalier Computers, a subsidiary of the U.Va. Bookstore. They’re offering U.Va. employees — Academic Division and Medical Center — a great deal: pick out your computer now, put 10 percent down, and pay the rest by payroll deduction, interest-free, over 12 months. You can purchase up to $5,000 worth of computer equipment (keyboards, printers, etc.), as long as one of the items is a computer itself.
It’s nice to see a University-run enterprise looking out for its clientele.
