U.Va. Student Fondly Describes Short Run on “Jeopardy!”

U.Va.'s Amanda Ray, right, and fellow competitorTim Relihan from Nebraska, in Los Angeles.
Second-year student Amanda Ray recently represented U.Va. in the “Jeopardy!” College Championship. And while the biomedical engineering and French major did not make it out of the first round, alas (her episode aired Friday), she did correctly answer the final question — about Thomas Jefferson. It may have been tough to come back to Grounds had she missed that one.
You can read her blog and view her video by clicking here (page down until you see her wearing her U.Va. sweatshirt). I especially like the blog passage where the college students turned the tables on “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek.
